Stan Sonenshine serves as president and is responsible for strategic planning, advisory services, acquisitions and asset management. With more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience, his vast knowledge brings a practical approach to property evaluation and ownership, ensuring optimum portfolio performance. His keen understanding of real estate fundamentals coupled with sound market insight solidifies smart investing.
Stan has held executive positions with some of the most recognized firms in Atlanta real estate such as The Simpson Organization, Peterson Properties and Hooker Barnes. His select accomplishments include the acquisition of 14 properties totaling 1.2 million square feet and valued at $100 million; raising $10 million in investment capital; and the development of over 2.5 million square feet of office and warehouse properties.
Stan is active in the Atlanta Jewish community and has served on the executive committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and presided over the boards of directors of several of its agencies. He currently sits on the board of The Davis Academy and is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. He has served as president of the Georgia Chapter of NAIOP and the Peachtree Corners Developers Association and was a participant in Leadership Gwinnett. Stan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Affairs from Georgia State University.

Steve Rothschild serves as partner and is responsible for investor relations and tax credits. During his commercial real estate tenure of more than 35 years, he has fostered valuable relationships and executed numerous investment deals and tax credit transactions.
Prior to co-founding PREF, he held various executive positions with reputable firms such as Cushman and Wakefield, Premisys, Faison Enterprises and Insignia ESG. His experience as a tenant representative broker, developer and asset manager affords him the ability to provide a unique perspective in a variety of real estate situations.
Steve’s select accomplishments include leasing and pre- development of the last phase of a 2.1 million-square foot office park; assistance in the formation of a services company to advise on a $21 billion real estate portfolio and the formation of an asset services group to orchestrate leasing for a subsidiary of UPS; and the asset management of a 4.5 million-square foot office portfolio for Insignia ESG. Steve has counseled hundreds of clients such as SCorps, LLCs, Trusts, individuals, corporations, insurance companies, and beyond, placing more than $900 million federal, state and local tax credit programs in 24 states, while working closely and consultatively to identify the most appropriate, strategic options based on a full suite of tax credits.
Steve is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of Realtors, Association for Corporate Growth, Southeast Hedge Fund Association, Rotary, and the Business Forum. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Buckhead Club. Steve is a founder of The Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine as well as Will’s Club, a fundraising branch of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.
